Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of PerishShield ("the app"), a Shopify admin application. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
1. The service
PerishShield assesses weather-related risk for perishable orders using forecast data and merchant-defined temperature and shipping settings, and surfaces that risk inside the Shopify admin. This includes order badges, an action to review shipping safety, order tags, and an optional fulfillment hold. The app is intended purely as a decision-support tool.
2. No guarantee of outcomes
Weather forecasts and risk assessments are estimates. PerishShield does not guarantee that any product will or will not be damaged in transit, and is not responsible for spoilage, delivery outcomes, carrier performance, or any decision a merchant makes based on the app's output. The merchant remains solely responsible for all final fulfillment decisions.
3. Third-party data
Weather forecasts are provided by WeatherAPI.com, a third-party service. PerishShield is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or content of third-party data, and the use of such data is subject to the third party's own terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to gain unauthorized access to it, interfere with its operational integrity, or use it in direct violation of Shopify's developer terms or any applicable local and international laws.
5. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the app consistently available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update these terms, and continued use of the app after changes are published constitutes active acceptance of the updated terms.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PerishShield will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the app.
8. Termination
You may stop using the app and uninstall it at any time. Uninstalling cleanly deletes your store's configuration and transactional data as detailed in our Privacy Policy.
